The former Miss California appeared at a Republican conference in Orlando Saturday and so I checked the Florida Republican Party website in hopes of learning when Carrie "Preechin'" Prejean might be scheduled to make a stop in our part of the peninsula. Of course, I couldn't find it, and the reason is perfectly clear if you read her remarks in Orlando.

Former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean said losing the Miss USA pageant and later her state crown was part of God's plan.And the Big Guy doesn't have a publicist who can book appearances in advance, so all we can really do is look for the clues about how God has planned Prejean's career so far.

Former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean may not have made it all the way to the Miss Universe pageant this weekend, although in a geographical sense, she did end up making it pretty close. Speaking at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Florida rather than at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas, the 21-year-old told a GOP crowd that losing the Miss USA pageant and later her state crown was a part of God’s plan. “I don't need to be Miss USA.

I'm not going to little ribbon cuttings and things that aren't meaningful to me,” she said. Prejean, who was the first runner-up at the 2008 Miss USA pageant, was later stripped of her state crown for reportedly failing to attend officially sanctioned Miss California USA events. Whatever God’s plan for Carrie Prejean may be, it apparently is politically focused. “I definitely have a high interest in politics,” she said on Saturday. “I love Sarah Palin. I think she’s amazing.”

We'd like to think the Donald would heed our warning! And we got our wish! Despite rumors that former disgraced Miss California, Carrie Prejean, would appear on Celebrity Apprentice, her reps have confirmed that she will not be participating. “They couldn’t work it out with her schedule,” claims her lawyer.

Is that fancy PR lingo for getting DENIED?! In hindsight, we would have loved all of America to witness the dumb bitch attempt to function on a professional level.

Carrie Prejean may be putting on her Sunday best and trotting down to the set of The Celebrity Apprentice where she will play, off all things, a celebrity, according to Perez.

The 22-year-old former Miss California was stripped of her crown this year for numerous violations of her contract and is known for her love of Ken and Barbie, and not Jen and Barbie. But this little rascal may be in for a treat on the show. Assuming The Celebrity Apprentice producers are smart, they will throw Perez Hilton in the hole with her. My Tivo would be set to "No Fuck Way!" every single week.

Donald Trump was the one who gave the Miss California directors the go-ahead to dethrone beauty queen Carrie Prejean earlier this year, but it looks like he may soon have the opportunity to say "you’re fired" himself.

Pop Tarts has learned that Prejean has been in talks with Trump over the past few weeks to star in the third installment of his hit NBC show "Celebrity Apprentice.""Carrie really wants to do it," an insder told Tarts. "Trump keeps going back and forth over it, he doesn’t really care either way.

Reality TV star Donald Trump was on Letterman tonight braying about how much he loves pageant broads and how Carrie Prejean was crucified on a wooden cross just like Jesus because mean people hate her for being so damn hot.



When Prejean's name came up in the Late Show interview, Trump offered his admirable but weak defense of her for being a dolt, prompting Letterman to jump in with an "anybody who wants to get married ought to be able to get married" comment. The studio audience then went nuts while Trump sat silent, all alone in the world for a few seconds with only a banana-yellow tie and a big, garish head as his friends.

Near the end of the segment, Trump spit out a bunch of names of judges he has lined up for the pageant, and he mentioned Andre Leon Talley as being one of them. Neither Dave not the audience seemed to know who the hell Andre Leon Talley was, which was oddly refreshing.

Former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean said Saturday in Simi Valley that she wouldn’t have changed a thing about her controversial response to a question about gay marriage during the Miss USA pageant in April. “I don’t have any regrets. It’s actually been a blessing in disguise,” said the 22-year-old San Diego native before her appearance as keynote speaker at a convention of the Young Republican Federation of California.

The weekend convention features workshops, meetings and speakers hosted by the Ventura County Young Republicans. Prejean gained national attention during the Miss USA competition for her answer to a question posed by gossip blogger Perez Hilton about same-sex marriage. Prejean responded by saying she believes marriage should be between a man and a woman.

The reigning Miss California is back home in Southern Oregon this week. Tami Farrell won that title after the original Miss California Carrie Prejean was stripped of her title in June by Donald Trump after she failed to honor her commitments. Farrell was born in Southern Oregon and grew up in Phoenix.
 
"There is a quote Walt Disney said, 'It's kind of fun to do the impossible', and I think its what is going on in my life. It's been crazy, my mom jokes I am a female Forest Gump because the way things happen, there it a one and a million chance and then it happens," Farrell said.
 
Farrell was crowned Miss Teen USA in 2003, but she says the media attention surrounding her newest title was completely unexpected. "You can get so much attention for losing a pageant. It's great to get the title now, but think about it, I got second place, you don't don't expect to happen," Farrell said.

Set Free Ministries in El Cajon, CA will be holding its annual silent fundraiser tonight.  As part of the evening  fare of food, fellowship and fundraising will be a testimony given by San Diego's Carrie Prejean,  former Miss California. The silent auction will be held August 12th at the Set Free Ministries conference center  which is located at 1523 E. Main St. in El Cajon.  The event starts at 6:30 PM.  Tickets sell for $30 each. Proceeds will go toward supporting the women's ministry at Set Free Ministries.
