Carrie Prejean believes she may have lost the Miss California title but a bigger crown awaits her in heaven.
The 22-year-old was stripped off her crown due to her anti-gay marriage activism, which she made public in her answer during the national pageant in April. Speaking at the recent Values Voters Summit 2009 in Washington, D.C, Carrie told that “even though I didn’t win the crown that night, I know that the Lord has so much of a bigger crown in heaven for me,” reports CBS News.

She said that “God had a plan for me that day” that she lost the contest because “he knew I was strong enough to get through all the junk that I’ve been through.”The beauty queen added: “I was a woman who stood up for the truth and people don’t want to admit that. I had the courage and the bravery that a lot of people don’t have.”

“Spider-Man” actress Kirsten Dunst was the star witness last week in the trial of a man accused of stealing her $2,000 Balenciaga purse.

Dunst, 27, told jurors that in August 2007 she was filming the comedy “How to Lose Friends and Alienate People” at the SoHo Grand hotel in New York City when she discovered her purse missing.

Also gone: All the contents, including $2,000 in cash. The purse and credit cards were eventually returned.

James Jimenez, 35, is charged with the burglary, a theft his lawyer blames on a co-defendant who already pleaded guilty to attempted burglary.

There was a time I felt sorry for Miss Prejean. It sucked that when she was asked about gay marriage at the Miss USA pageant - by Perez Hilton, no less - she choked and she sounded, well, kind of dumb.

Prejean said, "Well I think it's great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. We live in a land that you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. And, you know what? In my country, in my family, I think that I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that's how I was raised and that's how I think it should be between a man and a woman.

Beauty queen Carrie Prejean modeled some less-than-modest Halloween costumes for Women of Marvel last year, before her Miss California fiasco. Um, is this supposed to be hoochie Spiderwoman? [TMZ] We’re not sayin’ these Halloween costumes make Miss I’m Sooooo Into Family Values a hypocrite or anything. We’re just sayin’.

“Spontaneous ejaculation,” supposedly a medical condition, is no excuse for acting like a creep! A Singapore judge ruled recently against 28-year-old Chong Weien, who got nabbed splooging on a fellow student’s thigh in 2006. Ew! Weien, who is also a National University of Singapore student (in psychology, ha), was riding a bus when he pressed his crotch up against some chick’s thigh and blew his load. She took him to court for an “outrage of modesty,” which the judge agreed with, despite testimony from two doctors who said Weien does indeed suffer from a “spontaneous ejaculation” problem. Hmm, maybe it was the fact that creepy Weien was jailed for 15 months and caned three times in 2002 for a similar conviction? [Straights Times, hat tip to True/Slant]

Need a Halloween costume that will scare the pants off two men who can't get married? Then Carrie Prejean has the perfect disguise for you ... and it's not as "biblically correct" as you might expect.

Prejean is currently being featured on several costume websites modeling outfits that could easily be worn by a stripper. Carrie took the job modeling the Women of Marvel costume line last year -- before her infamous anti-opposite marriage moment at the Miss USA pageant -- though the costumes are just now being released. Carrie even rocked the wholesome getup down the runway at Comic Con 2008.

It’s easy to make fun of beauty queens -- their plastic smiles, their bottle-blond tresses, their dreams for world peace. But Carrie Prejean, the former Miss California whose declaration that marriage should be between a man and woman earned her the vilification of some in the gay rights community, provided an unanticipated emotional highlight at a conference of Christian conservatives in Washington today.

In a heartfelt talk that moved some in the crowd to tears, Prejean recounted for the 1,700 activists gathered for the Family Research Council’s Values Voter Summit in Washington how distressing it was to go from shoo-in for Miss USA to not only losing, but being reviled and mocked for the answer on gay marriage she gave to pageant judge Perez Hilton, the celebrity gossip blogger.

“I knew as soon as I didn’t give the PC answer, I knew there was no way I would become Miss USA,” said Prejean, 22.

Today FRC Action, the legislative lobbying arm of Family Research Council, announced that former Miss California Carrie Prejean will appear at FRC Action's fourth annual Values Voter Summit. Ms. Prejean gained national prominence when she defended traditional one-man, one-woman marriage at the Miss USA Pageant.

Ms. Prejean will speak about her experiences over the last year as she has become a role model and spokeswoman in defense of marriage.

Former Miss California Carrie Prejean had issues with pageant officials prior to the controversy surrounding her contest answer, it has emerged. The 22-year-old recently slapped the state organization with a lawsuit, alleging it discriminated against her religious beliefs and caused her emotional distress.
Her lawyers also alleged that the beauty queen was stripped off her crown due to her anti-gay marriage activism, which she made public in her answer during the national pageant in April.

And now, leaked emails exchanged between Carrie and the pageant officials suggest things were not running smoothly between the two parties long before their row over her stance on same-sex unions erupted, reports Fox News. Carrie was said to have snapped ties with her state team several weeks before the competition, according one alleged e-mail from Carrie to Miss California co-director Keith Lewis.

It reportedly read: “I WILL NOT BE VERBALLY AND EMOTIONALLY ABUSED ANYMORE BY ANY OF YOU. I HAVE A COMPETITION TO PREPARE FOR. I WILL NO LONGER BE DEALING WITH ANYONE WHO IS GOING TO BRING ME DOWN AT THIS POINT. I WILL ONLY SURROUND MYSELF WITH PEOPLE WHO MAKE ME HAPPY. AND RIGHT NOW, THAT IS NONE OF YOU. I WILL SEE YOU ALL IN APRIL. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME AT ALL FROM THIS POINT FORWARD.
